Fajr Film Festival announces documentary selection committee

The documentary selection committee of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran has been announced.

The secretary of the 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival, Ebrahim Daroughehzadeh revealed the names of the documentary selection committee members.

Mohammad Afarideh, Habib Ahmadzadeh, and Farhad Mehranfar are the members of the documentary selection committee.

The selection committee has to review the received works and pick 10 titles for the jury of the Simorgh competition.

Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival is slated for February 1-11, 2018, in Tehran.
